Brown trout are fall spawners who prefer cold, spring fed streams and active water where the oxygen levels stay high. They hide in undercut banks, near fallen trees and rocks which provide protection from predators and keep water temperatures cool. Brown trout are piscivorous, ambush feeders who use their hiding places to pounce upon unsuspecting prey.
Method: Dry Fly, Nymphing, Streamers
Gear: 5-6wt rods with floating lines.
