World class dry line fly fishing.

Huge-Cutthroat-Elk-River-Fly-Fishing-BCThe Elk River in the Canadian Rockies offers some of the best dry line fly fishing in the world. This incredible freestone river is filled with deep pools, dancing riffles, and various back channels. The rievr meanders through the Elk Valley, cutting a path through the mountain landscapes, it quietly passes straight through the beautiful mountain town of Fernie BC, before flowing into Lake Koocanoosa.

While Fernie has become known as a skiing mecca it is also known for it’s Cutthroat, Bull Trout and Whitefish with a season that lasts from June to October.  Fly fishing guides on the Elk are amongst the best and the dry fly action on the Elk River is a result of the spectacular hatches that occur on the river.

A trip down the Elk is the kind that you’ve probably spend dreaming about forever and Fernie offers all kinds of recreational opportunities for the family including golfing, hiking and mountain biking.
